My daughter Taylor wants rainbow sandals for christmas. My husband thinks that they are way to expensive. We are not tight on money but he thinks that it is just a waste since she just got 3 pairs last year. Should I get them anyway?
She wants rainbow sandals.?
1.Do the old ones still fit?
2.How much do they cost?
3.Did she wear them alot?
4. I think you should buy them any ways
Reply:i would hold off depending on the condition of her old flip flops. see how she is after she gets all of her other presents on christmas, and if she still really wants them get them and save them for her birthday or for a small valentines gift.
Reply:yeah getem
Reply:As much as you want to say "yes" to your child's every request, sometimes you have to say no. If it was me, it would depend on the cost of the sandals, and how quickly she would outgrow the 3 pairs she already has. If very expensive, I would not buy them simply because it's a waste of money when kids outgrow shoes so quickly. If not that expensive, and she might need new sandals soon anyway, buy them in one size up.
Reply:they aren't extremely expensive and it's Christmas ! i think you should get them anyways
Reply:Why would you buy her new ones when the old ones still fit? Why did you buy her three pairs at once in the first place? You are just encouraging her to throw money around. And, weirdest of all, why does she want something for Christmas which she already owns?
Reply:Why would you do something that your husband is obviously against? I don't like to spoil children, so I would say no.
Reply:u can save up money and buy her sandals. one thing, do not buy her the rainbow ones, they teach her how to be gay. cause raibow means gay.
Reply:I have to say that as a mother I would love to give my children everything that they want. But there are definitely times when you have to say no. By giving into every desire you not giving them the skills now that are necessary to be able to deal with let down later in life. I know it may or may not be a long time away but everything that you do now is shaping what she will become. Now it may be $70 sandals, but eventually it will be a $1000 D%26amp;G purse. You need to nip it in the butt now, before you regret it later in life. Buy something that the two of you can do together as a family, she will appreciate that much more in the long run.
