How do you break in Rainbow sandals?

I just purchased a pair of Rainbow sandals, and I was aware that they needed to be broken in, but I can't believe the break-in period is this painful! I literally have two patches of skin missing where the strap has rubbed against, and every step is just as painful as the last one.

Some friends have told me to wear them in the shower, where some friends advised against this. Some told me to where the sandals every other day until they're broken in, along with other random pieces of advice. Does anyone here have any suggestions?

Wear them in the shower or to the beach and make sure a bunch of sand gets in them. I'm not trying to get you to ruin your sandals but the water and the sand will help break them in.
Reply:It could be a design problem. Try on another brand. I have worn sandals that really hurt, but others are unbelievable comfortable, maybe due to the support thickness between the toes. Some of them are much cheaper than rainbows.

good luck.

Reply:The cutest shoes always hurt... it's the price of beauty!!!
Reply:That's the beauty of sandals. They are only connected to your foot by the strap across the front of the foot and the heel strap if present. This allows your foot to slop around creating friction and wearing away at the tender dermitus. You may have purchased the wrong size, but if not, then you will just have to wear them until the callouses form. Don't go high fashion and wear socks with them.
Reply:you wear them.

just wear them.
