Keen sandals/shoes! problems with smelling?

i have problems with my keen sandals. they are not current shoes, i got them about two years ago. they smell really bad and no matter what i do i can%26#039;t get the smell out. i have found out the problem from someone else who says that the cause is that they got wet. i got a new pair and they don%26#039;t have that problem, but I need a way to get them to not smell before i give them to someone else that i promissed them to.

Keen sandals/shoes! problems with smelling?
i reccomend you take it to the shoe repair, they%26#039;ll fix it.
Reply:Frist: Fabreeze those suckers

Next: Dry them in the dryer

Last: Shower to shower (or other deodorized powder) I know this step is not traditional, but I swear it works!
Reply:baking powder works wonders

sprinkle %26#039;em, and set %26#039;em outside overnight
Reply:Stuff them tightly with scrunched up newspaper which will help the odor. You could also try kitty litter sprinkled on them.
