Is Sandals Montego Bay really so close to the airport that it is very noisy?

I am going to sandals montego bay in a few days and i have gotten alot of mixed reviews on the resort. Is it really right under the airport and VERY loud?? Or is this simply an exageration?

Yes, sorry, that%26#039;s what I%26#039;ve heard too. Did you check on tripadvisor yet? If not, maybe you should go there to see what those guests have to say. Jamaica is great! I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;ll have a wonderful time regardless. Be sure to try a hummingbird at the bar!
Reply:Well,I stayed at Toby%26#039;s Resort in Montego Bay,and I don%26#039;t remember hearing any planes! It is literally walking distance from the MO Bay airport!Although when I was at the beach,then the planes were a bit of a nuisance! It depends on your tolerance level for noise! I personally hate noise! Good luck!

There%26#039;s a place there called Rick%26#039;s Cafe where you get to go cliff diving off a cliff and into the beautiful water !

Reply:Yes it is very close to the airport..The guest become use to the noise they say...but if you can change to another Sandals, my favorite is in Ocho Rios..try for another. They have specials all the time.
Reply:You will hear planes flying overhead; they don%26#039;t fly at night though. You really do get used to it; no big deal.


That Sandals is very nice. The honeymoon bungalows on the beach are heavenly.
