Guys and sandals?
if its like the spedo ones where its like a strap over the whole somewat upper part of ur foot then yea!

but flip flops sometimes look gay (depends on wat they look like)

and the other kind look like a tourist
Reply:No. Men cannot wear sandals without looking ridiculous.
Reply:sure why not?
Reply:I love wearing sandals. I have about 20 pairs. One of my favourite style are the gladiator sandals like I%26#039;m wearing in the photo
Reply:It honestly depends on the sandal and the guy.

Also, the outfit he is wearing.
Reply:Why not?

Just wear what makes you feel uncomfortable and happy!

Check out Reefs they last for years and are SUPER comfy!!!!
Reply:not flip flops, but certain types of sandals are fine... i don%26#039;t know what%26#039;s wrong with guys and flip flops- it just looks funny
Reply:Birkenstock leather sandals look very cool on men in summer.

But never with socks...please! LOL
Reply:Sure!! whatever you feel comfy with. Just take care of your feet, especially your toenails
Reply:Definitely. If they%26#039;re gay.
Reply:ewww. i hate when guys have ugly feet like all hairy and yellow nails and that gross stuff. im all for it if the guy gets like a pedi or something. if they are gross, just let us ladies show off our polished feet :-)
Reply:if that%26#039;s their style, then yea nothing wrong with it

Fashionable, cute sandals?

I%26#039;m looking for some cute black or brown gladiator-ish, strappy sandals. Rachel Bilson%26#039;s style is a great example of what I%26#039;m looking for. %26amp; These are a bit of what I%26#039;m looking for except that they%26#039;re out of stock: http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores...

Riu Palace in Cabo? Or Sandals resorts?

My boyfriend and I are attempting to plan our first vacation together. The planning is mainly on my end as he is stuck out on a carrier until the end of May being a good Navy pilot. When I do get to see him we will both be wanting to go somewhere romantic and beachy, on that note...I had two questions:

1. I%26#039;ve gotten a lot of different responses on the Riu Palace All Inclusive in Cabo..can anoy testify with a recent experience on its worth? If not is there another all Inclusive resort you would suggest? Is the Dreams comparable?

2. If not Cabo, should we consider a Sandals resort? I have a feeling we might be one of the few that aren%26#039;t there for the honeymoon or anniversary. What Sandals resort would you recommened for a late 20%26#039;s couple who like their cocktails. We are looking for a great pool and a nice beach. Some activity would be great, especially nightlife. But not too crazy. Still relaxing. I%26#039;ve heart Montego Bay was fun, but then I heard it was trashy and loud.

Riu Palace in Cabo? Or Sandals resorts?
Go to TripAdvisor.com and type in your resort name. The first thing you will find are dozens of trip reviews written by previous visitors to the resort. You can view pictures that some of them posted, and even view videos. Look around that site and you will learn a LOT about any resort you are considering.
Reply:Okay.... Riu Palace hotels are beautiful resorts, especially in Cancun. You should have a look at this one also. But Dreams to me has more to offer any couple.... even if you don%26#039;t feel like going anywhere, this All-Inclusive hotel will certainly make you feel at home.

However, I%26#039;ve known Sandals Hotels are the best place for %26quot;Lovers%26quot; as they say, and not just honeymooners. The best one I think, is the Sandals in St. Lucia. You will not regret it. Take care and Good Luck.
Reply:Sandals definitely
Reply:My husband and I went to Sandals Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon in 2006 and had a great time. There were lots of activities planned during the day, or you could just hang out and relax. In the evening they had outdoor dinners with shows, kareoke, and a small nightclub. While everyone there seemed to be enjoying the cocktails, no one was crazy or too wild. It wasn%26#039;t like a spring break scene or anything like that. The food was amazing, the beaches were well maintained, and everything was kept spotless. Most of all the people were very friendly and more than willing to assist with anything you wanted. They had several nice places too eat and food was served 24 hours a day. I was also surprised at the age range and groups of people. My husband and I were both 25 at the time, and most people there were our age or a little older. There was one couple there who was very adorable and said they came to Sandals once a year for the last 20 years or so. There were also a few groups of people who came with friends. I highly recommends Sandals. I%26#039;ve heard from others that it is the best of the all-inclusive resorts. Although it is the only one we%26#039;ve been to, we%26#039;re already thinking of going back this summer. Neither of us could think of a single negative thing to say about the resort. I hope this helps!

My daughters sandals leave a mark on the top of her foot. Should I return them?

This is the first pair of sandals she has had. They are clarks and she was properly fitted for them but when I took off her socks to get her ready for bed she had quite a mark, not really a rub mark, more of a pressure mark. She is 2 years old. My mum said the leather will give in time but in the mean time is it causing any damage?

My daughters sandals leave a mark on the top of her foot. Should I return them?
return them. They are meant to check for that sort of thing when you buy...they should run a finger under the sandal in that area....take them back and complain. Clarks have gone SO downhill recently...startrite are much better but more expensive. My 3 year old has a %26quot;Fat foot%26quot; as I call it...lol...I mean that she gets rubbed in that area too..it has improved now she is bigger and her feet look more like a little girls feet rather than a babies...all plumpy...but last year she could not wear that style of shoe with the single bar across the top as they all dug in...get your daughter fitted again by the manager.
Reply:It could cause blisters and soreness on her feet. Take them back and get them a 1/2 size larger (or next whole size up if they come that way) so this doesn%26#039;t happen. She could also need a wide size. Her feet were not sized properly for the shoe if they are pressing into her feet. That is NOT normal even on adult shoes. A shoe salesman told me the best advice once- shoes should not have to be %26quot;broken in%26quot; if they fit properly. They should comfortable on your feet from the get go and you should never have to think you will %26quot;get used to it%26quot;.

Since following that advice I%26#039;ve not had any more blisters or problems buying shoes in years. The same is true for kids. They shouldn%26#039;t have to be in pain to wear their shoes just because the shoes are %26quot;cute%26quot;.
Reply:My daughter had the same thing, she had a wide fitting every time but the only style that didn%26#039;t leave a mark were T-Bar style sandals. I would go back to Clarks or Jones%26#039; as their main competitor. I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;s not doing any damage but as you know with your own shoes if they leave a mark it is where they have been uncomfortable and through the summer you wont always want her to have to have socks on. They could hurt even more with bare feet. Hope this helps x
Reply:Most shoes will leave marks, especially sandals. Maybe the problem is that she%26#039;s wearing them with socks which she was not fitted for. As long as they%26#039;re not blisters or cuts and her feet don%26#039;t look like they%26#039;re losing circulation, they%26#039;re fine for her to be wearing them. She might sometimes get marks on her face from sleeping on a blanket funny or from her pants, too. Completely normal.
Reply:If she doesn%26#039;t look like she%26#039;s in pain, then I%26#039;m sure she%26#039;s fine. Leather does stretch over time though. If she%26#039;s not complaining, then it%26#039;s not bothering her. I%26#039;m sure the socks are helping it be more comfortable for her too. It relieves the pressure of the sandal rubbing on bare skin.
Reply:well she could have a high insole (like me) which means shoes have to be stretched and wide fitting. ask the shop and if they dont know ask the doctor but if its really bad try stretching them with your hand. its like high heels they hurt but you get used to them.
Reply:My daughter has this problem The top of her foot is really big and she has to get use to them. I have to buy her wide shoes all the time. Try and stretch them out and see what happens.
Reply:My daughter%26#039;s shoes did that to her and I found out she needed to wear a wide. She is now a 4.5 wide. Shoes made by stride rite fit her better than any I have found. Best of luck.

I forgot my sandals while on vacation in FL about 8 yrs ago,and bought some cheap rubber ones in a surf shop,I thought. They were like 5 or 6 bucks these shoes have proven to be my favorite of all time,I have not made it back to FL and looked at Ron Jons surf online and have not found them. They come in or did then brown and black, not extremley attractive but sooooo comfy. Does anyone know what I%26#039;m talking about????

Brown beach sandals?
Maybe if you posted a picture, I%26#039;m sure the brand is written on the sandals somewhere.

Are rainbow sandals supposed to fit so small at first?

i just got a new pair of rainbow sandals in a size small, which is what i usually wear but they are soo tight and just barely long enough. they are expensive so i can%26#039;t just buy a new pair. everyone says that they will break in after awhile but do they also fit better like in length? thanks :]]

Are rainbow sandals supposed to fit so small at first?
yes they will stretch out %26amp; feel better soon trust me. buuut, since they only come in sm, med, lg, etc, it%26#039;s hard to find a perfect size. but if your heel is right on the back they say that%26#039;s bad so try the next size if you can. it%26#039;s tough though, like right now i%26#039;m between medium %26amp; large. it%26#039;s just those rainbows. but they will def stretch soon. good luck ;-)
Reply:i hav rainbows and mine are actually a little big, i got them like that so i could grow and still wear them... thats wat u could hav done! even when they do break in how would it make them longer??? and when i found out that u hav a life time guarentee on them i was soooo shocked! but ive had mine for a while and they are still in perfect shape (except for the foot imprint which in about a week should barely start to show)
Reply:Did you try them on before you bought them? Your feet may have grown from the last time you tried and they were a small. Go return them and get a medium, they may be leather, but they don%26#039;t get worn in as much as you%26#039;d like.
Reply:Yes! I was so scared when I bought my first pair because they were tight and uncomfortable. Don%26#039;t worry, after you wear them for about a week they will stretch out and fit perfectly! They are so tight at first so they can mold properly to your feet.

Is the Sandals Resorts worth it?

I am trying to plan my honeymoon, and the Sandals Resorts look interesting. However, I am skeptic that it could be that nice. Has anyone been to one? Which one? Would you recomend it?

Is the Sandals Resorts worth it?
I think they are if you are very active and will use the many sports they offer. Since drinks are included this will also offer value to those that drink. In the highest category rooms you get a Butler and that is a very nice touch for a honeymoon couple. The Sandals resorts are not cookie cutter. Only Whitehouse in Jamaica has been built from the ground up. I suggest you find a local travel agent who can steer you to the right resort for both of you. Your local agent should be able to match any price you have seen for Sandals plus you get the use of their knowledge of all the resorts.
Reply:We went to Jamaica Sandals Montego Bay (not Sandals Inn) for our honeymoon, and I felt the same way when we were thinking about going. I am so glad we spent the money. It was worth every penny. They treat you like kings and queens. I think there were five restaurants that were all top notch, and all the drinks were top notch as well. The service was fabulous. You could do as much or as little as you want. The best part was that it is strictly for couples. There are no singles or no kids. Everyone is there for the same reason as you, and the resort caters to every need you have. You do have the ability to go to other resorts for no additional charge. We took a ride to Ocho Rios and had lunch at the Sandals there. It too was a nice resort. It is as good as it says. Congrats and I am sure you will have a wonderful time at whichever one you choose. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Reply:Sandals are the #1 resort for honeymoons. They are geared for your type of vacation. I would go to the one that fits what you like to do and is the easiest to travel to and is in your budget. They are all excellent and worth it.

Good Luck and congratulations!)
Reply:We absolutely love it! We go to Sandals Negril, Jamaica every year. You really should go to tripadvisor.com to see what other visitors have said about their experiences on this and any other resorts you%26#039;re interested in. I can spend hours there. Planning is half the fun! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
Reply:I LOVED Sandals!!! It is very beautiful. Some of the pictures, I think, don%26#039;t do the resort justice.

We stayed at the beach %26amp; villa resort in Ocho Rios. It was 2 resorts into 1. Our room was at the plantation and the beach rooms were accross the street. The rooms are AWESOME and we stayed in the standard room so I can imagine what the higher priced rooms look like. The staff was the best and they love to have fun.

We will definately be back. We want to try Nigril or Whitehouse next.

The only negative I can even say about the place was the drive to and from the airport. It was to long.
Reply:I copied this from another question I answered along the same lines... All in all, Sandals is amazing!

My husband and I were just in Jamaica in January for our honeymoon, and we stayed at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. It was truly amazing! This was our first time to Jamaica, and we really felt like we got to see and do alot! The great thing about Sandals is that you can transfer to other Sandals Resorts nearby, so we had dinner and activities a few times at the Sandals Dunns River.

The Sandals Dunn%26#039;s River is much smaller and more intimate, and is Italian-themed. It%26#039;s a nice resort and we had fun the times we spent there, but we would probably not choose to stay there. On the other hand, Sandals Ocho Rios is not specially-themed: it%26#039;s tropical, Jamaican, etc. It is a very large resort, in fact it is literally two seperate resorts seperated by the public road. I beleive it used to be a Beaches Resort, so is activity-friendly. You can walk, or take a shuttle from the Riviera (beach) side, to the Manor (forresty) side and vice-versa. The two sides each have pools, fitness areas, restaurants, bars, night club, etc but they%26#039;re not the same on each side, there%26#039;s variety. We spent time on both sides, but our room was a villa on the Manor side, which we really loved. The Riviera side seemed less lively than the Manor side to us, but maybe that changes with the guests. The rooms/villas at the Riviera side seemed more resort-like, whereas the Manor-side villas were much more spread out, more private, and secluded. Plus there was a lot of lush trees on the Manor and the Riviera is more garden-like.

One great thing is the all-inclusive. And it truly is all-inclusive. All your food is included, but no room-delivery. All the activities/sports. I know there is a small fee for golf (equipment rental and maybe your caddy fees), and of course spa treatments aren%26#039;t included. You get top-notch drinks (All the house drinks were great, house beer %26amp; wine - Beringer, house chamgpagne - Wyclif, house beer - Red Stripe, and all the hard alcohols you can think of, all included. The only alcohol you pay for is higher-end champagne or wines. But really, the house varieties are fantastic. I happen to live in California, where those wines %26amp; champagne are made, and are very popular). There wasn%26#039;t anything that we wanted or needed that wasn%26#039;t included, and we were there for a full 2 weeks, and had such a wonderful time on the included stuff.

Many people were dissapointed by the smaller beach at Ocho Rios. Personally, we thought it was great, not too small (but let%26#039;s not kid, you can%26#039;t take a long walk on the beach there). However, the Dunn%26#039;s River beach was much larger and we took a nice long walk on their beach one day when we were there after dinner. The restaurants at both resorts were amazing, but Ocho Rios has way more choices (being so large), which was nice since we were there for 2 weeks, and wanted some variety. For nightlife, there are nightclubs, planned fun activities all day and night (dance lessons, cocktail parties, organized sports events/tournaments, shows every night, etc). And you can definitely get an ocean-view room at either Sandals Ocho Rios (both sides can get views, we had one) or Dunn%26#039;s River. But, after staying there, I wouldn%26#039;t pay extra for a room. We were always out doing activities, tours, at the main pools meeting other people... we spent hardly any time in our room, so even though we paid more to have an upgraded room with semi-private pool, we were only really there to sleep and change clothes, etc. I would go for the basic room (which is still very nice) next time and spend that extra money on tours, souveniers, etc. We took the %26quot;Katt%26quot; catamaran to Dunn%26#039;s River Falls, and that was awesome! I would recommend it for first-timers.

I can%26#039;t say enough great things about Jamaica or about Sandals. Both are spectacular, and I%26#039;m sure that anyplace will be great. No matter where you choose in Jamaica, make sure that you take your camera (we took it EVERYWHERE while we were there - there are so many amazing photo oportunities!!) and take plenty of film/digital storage! We came home with over 1,000 excellent photos, and luckily had brought our laptop to transfer our pictures off the camera everyday. Our 4GB card was filled in less than 4 days!!

HAVE A GREAT TIME! I would love to go back!

Do these sandals and shorts match?

Do these sandals and shorts match?
NO! Please don%26#039;t make that combination! If you are wearing those shorts, wear a pair of brown leather, or just brown flip flops. I no they sell nice brown leather flip flops from hollister and abercrombie %26amp; fitch. They are a bit more on the pricey side, but they will look great!

Hope I helped(:

Me Personally

A guy in sandals: not the hottest thing out there.

I like a man the can wear those clear forces or tims

sorry
Reply:It depends on the girl.

Myself, I do not like it much. Then again, I could get used to it if I really like the guy, but I have to REALLY like the guy.

I suppose as I am getting older, I find it more acceptable than when I was in my teens or early twenties.

A man with a construction hard hat and work boots on still rocks my world.

Reply:yes ,but wear it anyways

Asian women & sandals?

My BF has this stereotype - he thinks that most Asian women love to wear open-toe sandals, like flip-flops and such. I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s true, because most of the time when we go eat, we would eat at Asian places, so of course there%26#039;s a lot of Asian people around. Well, I%26#039;d like to get your opinion.

I%26#039;d like to do a quick poll:

If you ARE an Asian girl and love to wear flip-flops, please type %26quot;YES%26quot;. If you%26#039;re not, you can just ignore this question.

THANKS!

Reply:well, i dont like to wear flip-flops all the time, i wear them only when the weather%26#039;s too warm, and when its cold, i like to wear my favourite pair of boots or some sneakers. plus, flip-flops can prevent smelly feet

All of the ones that have mostly black are great. I would stay away from the ones containing blue or red, and definatley not the ones that are mostly white. Now you are probably gonna say I am unpatriotic. No I am not. I love my country, but I don%26#039;t think it needs to be shown in my choice of flip flops. So yes any of the black based ones with blue jeans will look great.

My soon to be husband and I are planning our wedding and honeymoon. We are very interested in the Sandals St.Lucia Regency Resort. Are Reef sandals made of pig leather?

Hi, I am a muslim and hence cant use anything made of pig. What i want to know is if the leather used in making reef sandals are pig leather?

Are Reef sandals made of pig leather?
assalamu alaykum

Even if the sandals are made of leather from the skin of a pig, you can still wear the shoes. We are prohibited from eating pork but NOT from using the hide to make leather.

The prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) is reported to have said:

%26quot;Tanning removes its impurity.%26quot; (Reported by al-Hakim)

%26quot;If the skin is tanned, it is purified.%26quot; (Reported by Muslim)

(Tanning is the process of coverting animal skin into leather.)

Conderning these ahadith, Sheikh Qaradawi (may God accept his works) says in _al-halal wa-l haram fee islam_ (The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam):

%26quot;The application of these ahadith is quite general, including the skin of the dog or the pig. This was the opinion of the jurists of the Zahiri school, of Abu Yusuf, the pupil of Abu Hanifah, and of al-Shawkani.%26quot;

What color sandals should I wear with blue and white skirt, white blouse?

I have this beautiful new ralph lauren skirt with ruffles and soft colors. I was going to wear a white blouse. Do I have to wear white sandals? Thanks!

What color sandals should I wear with blue and white skirt, white blouse?
Depends on what color the blue is in the skirt like if its aqua blue or a real light colored blue, I would wear a light tan, beige, colored sandals or if you can find sandals that matches the blue in the skirt would look good. But white sandals would look great to.
Reply:Blue sandals
Reply:i would wear white sandals but a nude colour could work just as well if you pair it with a matching handbag
Reply:White or the shade of blue of the skirt or leather flip-flops
Reply:You don%26#039;t have to wear white .But it break-es up the color.you are not blue at the bottom. So wear what you fell Moor comfortably in.
Reply:If you want. I would suggest going with a tan or suede color(earth tone)
Reply:I would think that white or blue would be nice then you can also wear blak as they go with anything
Reply:white or blue flip flops would look cute
Reply:I think white sandals would look nice but black would look good too.
Reply:silver or a blue that matches your skirt
Reply:blue sandals
Reply:golden or silver sandals.
Reply:Blue Sandals
Reply:You do not have to wear white sandals (they would get dirty).

Instead, go to Old Navy or Target (they both have lots of cheap flip flops). Wear you skirt. Try on different colors of sandals until you have found a pair that looks really good!
Reply:no necessarily i think gold sandles will look gud though.
Reply:Baby blue sandals with a matching baby blue hairband!!
Reply:i can only suggest that u wear only those which look gud on u
Reply:White sandals all the way!
Reply:No really, you can wear blue or red sandals. I think red would be nice especially with a red purse too.
Reply:You should either wear blue or white sandals the same color as the skirt color if you can%26#039;t find a blue that color i would probably stick to just plain white.
Reply:no, you could wear blue sandals!

I tend to wear sandals reasonaly often in the summer, but t is too cold to wear them out-of-doors in winter. If I was going out somewhere, I might take a pair of sandals with me to change into when I%26#039;m indoors.
Reply:I don%26#039;t wear open toed sandals after the weather turns cold. I do wear high heeled close toed sandals all year with tights - but usually only black sandals and black tights so as not to draw attention to them.

My Teva sandals smell a little bit. How can I get them to stop kickin'?!?

My feet don%26#039;t smell in any other shoes... and it%26#039;s like, the sandals that smell not my feet. The TEVAs arent even that old. What gives? How can I fix my TEVAs? They cost like $80, I cant just ditch these smelly b*stards!!!

My Teva sandals smell a little bit. How can I get them to stop kickin%26#039;?!?
From Teva.com:

%26quot;We have several suggestions. It is possible the rubber used on the top sole, when combined with your body chemistry, is contributing to the odor.

The easiest way to clean the sandals is to bend the heel and toe under water pressure so that any dirt in the grooves of the top sole will wash away.

Scrubbing them using a soft bristle scrub brush and an antibacterial soap may also do the trick. Do not scrub the nylon straps because it will cause them to fray. You can also put your sandals in a chlorine pool. Do not put them in a hot tub or jacuzzi! Allow your sandals to dry, but not in direct sunlight.

We recommend that you clean your sandals every 2 or 3 weeks in order to reduce the bacterial build up.

If your sandals have an odor prior to wearing them, put them in a well-ventilated area for a few days. This should do the trick.

The sandal odor is not covered under Teva warranty. %26quot;
Reply:No don%26#039;t think of ditching them, wash with liquid dish soap, then rinse well with lots of water. When they dry , lightly spray with vinegar and put in front of a fan over night.BAM -odor gone....

What are the best kids sandals?

i need a new pair of sandals for my son because he either wants sandals or he wants to go barefoot because hes been barefoot since sunday

What are the best kids sandals?
Sounds like a kid who knows what%26#039;s good for him and doesn%26#039;t listen to hype or public opinion :) I suppose most kids will need sandals for social reasons at some time or other, but birks or teva%26#039;s should do for that... most of the time barefooting is healthy and comfortable!
Reply:The kind with six-inch heels...
Reply:It depends on your budget if you want really nice ones go to foot action. If you don%26#039;t want to spend alot then go to shoe show.
Reply:The best sandals for your son are Tevas. They come in many styles and colors. They are very comfy, and fit great on bare feet. I wear Tevas all the time in warm weather and I totally love them! I have about 40 pairs of differnet models. Tevas are to me the most comfortable sandal. I been wearing Tevas for about 12 years now, I love to show off my feet, and that is one reason why I wear sandals alot!

If you log on to http://www.teva.com and click on kids sandals, you will find a few pairs of sandals for kids, and I think your son will like the Tevas. They are easy to put on and take off.
Reply:for kids they will tear them up just buy some cheap ones from dollar general

Ladies: stilettos, sandals or sneakers?

And why?

I just started a new job so lately I%26#039;ve been in kitten heels %26amp; sandals, but on the regular, I love rockin sneakers. I%26#039;m real laid back.

Ladies: stilettos, sandals or sneakers?
I%26#039;m pretty casual, usually flip-flops, sometimes sneakers. I do like to dress up once in a while in heels, though. I like the versatility of having a few pairs of everything in your closet, instead of a TON of the same kind of shoes.
Reply:I love to ware sandals because they are comfy and go with just about everything. but sometimes sneakers are good if you are going for that comfy and sporty look.
Reply:Everything! Depends on the occasion, mood and clothes
Reply:A cute pair of sandals, because it%26#039; so hot outside this summer that my feet need to breathe!
Reply:rock the stillettos, they%26#039;re hot
Reply:stilettos....the make my legs look longand sexy
Reply:flip flops
Reply:stilettos are hot, but might not be too comfy

those wedge sandals are really cute but the straw ones... might not be appropiate for work?
Reply:It depends on the job, of course. I tend to switch it up. I love wearing stilettos when out in public but I keep a pair of flip flops at the desk. It all comes down to what you want out of the job. Remember the saying: Dress for the job you want, not the job you%26#039;re in.
Reply:sneakers!!!!!they are so comfy and if you choose black ones they go averywhere..stilletoes are for an evening out coz if you remain up all day long in them, your feet won%26#039;t stand it..
Reply:Sandals, boots, and occasionally sneakers. I can%26#039;t stand heels!
Reply:sandals in summer, stillettos in winter
Reply:Sneakers, definitely - it%26#039;s all about being comfy! If my feet ain%26#039;t happy the rest of me ain%26#039;t happy!
Reply:I love to be as comfortable as possible. Sneakers or flip flops does it for me.
Reply:flip flops or converse, and that%26#039;s it, i hate it when the rainy season comes....
Reply:For the job? Wear kitten heels, pumps and sandals with a kitten heel as well. Do not wear sneakers to work!

Reply:It depends on the type of job you have. If you%26#039;re a waitress and on your feet all day, you want something more comfortable. If you%26#039;re in an office, kitten heels and sandals are usually good. Stay away from the stilletos...wear them on those hot date nights!

A lot of people do it, from what I%26#039;ve seen! If you are just bumming around or if you have a uniform (like I do), it%26#039;s nice to wear the soccer sandals with low socks!

I need sandals that dont cut my feet open?

It seems like EVERY pair of sandals (flip flops %26amp; wedges) end up rubbing my feet raw after I walk in them for a couple hours. With the wedges - my heels are really narrow, so my feet move up and down with each step until the back of my heel is raw and bleeding. I also have scars on the top of my feet where my flip flop straps cut my feet open. I think this happens because my feet are so narrow - because it never seems to happen to my friends....even the ones that wear $2 flip flops.

Has anyone had this problem and then found a shoe that is comfortable and doesnt cut their foot open. I am just wondering, because I am going on vacation later this month and I will probably be doing a lot of walking - so I need something to wear.

I need sandals that dont cut my feet open?
Buy some TEva sandals. http://www.teva.com
Reply:go buy the ones at old navy.

they%26#039;re like 5 bucks and super

comfortable.

if they cut your feet open,

just stick to sneaks.
Reply:I have several pairs if sandals and the most comfortable are my toe loop rope sandals. They are like walking on a carpet. Hope this is of help to you
Reply:I have that problem all the time..... i have really narrow feet.

Go with Keds brand shoes. They REALLY do work, and the flats are totally comfortable.

As for flip flops, find a pair of the ones that have the soft furry material covering all but the bottom of them. They don%26#039;t give you blisters or anything.
Reply:if you%26#039;re doing a lot of walking, you need to buy tennis-shoes. Puma%26#039;s are cute. get some of those :]

FYI-don%26#039;t do a lot of walking in flip flips because you can get blisters (no matter how comfortable they are)

Corked soled sandals?

I%26#039;m getting my things ready for the beach this weekend %26amp; want to know if you think corked soled sandals are ok for the beach? I have too many pairs of flip flops %26amp; want to try something different. Let me know if you have a pair %26amp; it would really help if you have a picture of you if you have them!! Thanks

Corked soled sandals?
As long as they are flat bottomed and not too high they should be fine. Just make sure its not a pair that you would mind getting dirty b/c likely they will. Sand/dirt doesnt come out of cork like it does out of the rubber flip flops
Reply:As long as you dont get them wet you should be fine.

Sand and such doesn%26#039;t really do any harm to cork, but if it gets wet with sand it may get ugly.

And if it%26#039;s open-toed sandals or flip-flops, do you paint your toes? What colour?

Okay, I%26#039;m not sure about the weather in your area right now, but assume typical springtime weather. Haha.

Be as specific as you can... like, say what type of shoe or sandal it is, and say how often you wear it =p

Thanks!!

Girls: What kind of shoes/sandals do you usually wear to school?
I wear whatver I find that is nice and comfy from the store DSW Warehouse. I paint my toes a neutral color normally because I can go a long time without having to do them again, the chips and wearing away doesn%26#039;t show as much. Jeans and sandals again?

in response to my last question someone said that a guy who likes to wear jeans and sandals was a pedophile. Why is that?

Jeans and sandals again?
Um, I think you missed the joke in that person%26#039;s response!!!

A PED-ophile, means he%26#039;s got a foot fetist!!

A PAEDOPHILE has an unhealthy attraction to children.

I think he was saying a person who wears jeans and sandles has a foot fetish!

ROFLMAO!! Now that%26#039;s a real knee slapper!!

Getting turned on by guys wearing jeans and sandals just means that%26#039;s what turns you on. That%26#039;s all. It is called a fetish and lots of people have fetishes. Most times they won%26#039;t admit them publicly because they%26#039;re too embarrassed or think it%26#039;s weird but it doesn%26#039;t have to be. I%26#039;d say explore it and have some fun. Why do my Teva Sandals make my feet stink?

I am a big Teva Sandal fan, and I love wearing my Teva Sandals, and I wear them as much as I can, and I usually wear them in the first part of April and will continue to wear them untill the first snowfall. I have one problem when I take them off my feet, they make my feet stink, and they stink bad! Why do my Tevas make my feet stink? Any Ideas?

Why do my Teva Sandals make my feet stink?
Wear sneakers with no socks.

Keeps the stink inside the shoe.

More comfortable too.
Reply:If you don%26#039;t have this problem with other types of shoes, I would suspect a possible reaction to the sandals due to what they are made from. Some people can%26#039;t wear rubber based sandals as their foot odor becomes terrible from the reaction between the rubber and their sweat. Continue to wear your sandals since you love them (I do too) but try putting on some foot powder (made specifically for odor or sweating) before wearing them...it might eliminate or lessen the problem for you. Reply:don%26#039;t wear sandals or open toed shoes with pantyhose ever, unless you%26#039;re over 45! Then, it%26#039;s okay because no one will tell you anything.
Reply:I would suggest to not wear any type of stockings. Just paint your toes yourself or even go for a pedicure. If your are wearing a close-toed type shoe, then pantyhose are fine.
Reply:I am assuming you mean high heel sandals. I wear then all the time, but I always wear ultra sheer stockings with them. Pantyhose are sometimes so heavy they will show. If you have very expensive nude sandlot pantyhose it%26#039;s OK. There is noway my ultra sheer stockings can be seen.
Reply:No pantyhose or tights. It is infinitely better to wear STOCKINGS!
Reply:High heel sandals are fine with really sheer stockings or pantyhose as long as they are natural color and sandlefoot with no darkened toe or heel.

I wear them with sandlefoot stockings a lot and people are always complimenting me on my legs and feet. I just make sure the stockings I wear are ultra sheer, and fit tightly on my foot and ankle. That%26#039;s why I prefer a garter belt, I can make them as tight as I want, by adjusting the straps.
Reply:Pantyhose with sandals is fine. That%26#039;s why they make sandal foot style pantyhose. Sheer nylons always looks sexy with high heel sandals.
Reply:The best way is with bare feet... it looks much better than with any type of socks...

If you are trying to protect your feet or cover them up then that%26#039;s not a good solution..

Try to get a good pedicure where they clean the heals and all... put some nice color nail polish on and bring out the feminine side of you by wearing sandals with bare feet!
Reply:Which ever you are more comfortable with is what you should wear -- whether it%26#039;s bare legs or panty hose.

If you%26#039;re concerned with how you look in sandals or open toed shoes, opt for the sandal foot pantyhose. They don%26#039;t have reinforced toes and look more natural (more like bare legs, with a bit of a tan).
Reply:I think pantyhose and stockings should be worn with a closed toe heel, or a slingback. Some open toe heels that show a little toe with hose or stockings are ok, but I don%26#039;t like the look with sandals, no offense but to me it%26#039;s not a sexy look.
Reply:I am thinking you mean heels, because some pf these people are talking about socks, and tights. I guess in the UK they call pantyhose tights, but here I always figure tights and heave opaque items like Superman wears.

I always wear pantyhose with heels, open or not. When wearing them with open shoes, you just make sure they are of a neutral color and ultra-sheer sandal foot (no darkening on the heel or toe) so they cannot be seen. The European pantyhose are better for this because they come as low as 6 denier. The sheerest I have ever seen American pantyhose is 15 denier.

I am always getting compliments on my legs and feet, and I always wear stockings or pantyhose, but I have a great tan, and get a pedicure every week. the nylons just enhance what is already there, and I feel more ladylike wearing them. I think it is tacky to wear heels and a skirt with bare legs.

Reply:The Muslims you see in America are probably from countries where people wear sandals. When they choose clothes, they tend to pick out the kind they are used to wearing. I guarantee they will change to shoes and boots when the snow falls!
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure I understand your question, but wearing sandals is nothing religious. I live in Canada and there is no way I would be caught wearing sandals in winter, it%26#039;s TOOOOO cold!

Seriously, there is no religious significance, to my knowledge. I think it%26#039;s just a cultural thing.

Sandals are not religious, lol

You don%26#039;t see them wearing sandals in the winter.

It%26#039;s because of the hot climate, so does everybody else

Should I wear adidas sandals?

I%26#039;m going to Hershey Park this week with my 8th grade and I was going to wear flip flops but now I decided its not as good idea. So now I want to wear those adidas sandals but they are knida out of style.

I don%26#039;t want to wear burkinstock (wear them too much)

I dont like my sneakers and my feet cant breathe in them

I want to wear addidas because they are easier to walk in and my feet can breathe, but last time I wore them they gave my feet blisters. I think I know how to solve that problem though

Should I wear my adidas sandals?

Should I wear adidas sandals?
just wear shoes, you WILL regret wearing sandals or flip flops at Hershey Park. Plus your feet won%26#039;t be hot, it supposed to be cool for a while.
Reply:Those adidas sandals are soo, not out of style.

Burkinstocks are the ones out of style.

Wear the sandals- you wont regret it.

Though, the sandals may be harsh on your feet after a few hours.
Reply:adidas are cute and comfortable so it would be ok to wear them b/c i wore them when i went to hershey and my feet were fine and its not like anyone there was looking at my feet to see if my shoes were in style your not at a party just an amusment park ;)
Reply:wear the addidas, and grin a nice lard light weight purse with a change of clothes and a pair of flip flops. I def wouldn%26#039;t wear them and not bring a back up if they gave u blisters before, U will be doing a lot of walking
Reply:the ones with the rubber points in them will have to be worn a lot before you can get used to them but they aren%26#039;t really out of style they are just not hot anymore... people still wear them, especially girls who play sports at my high school... the shoes gotta go with the outfit tho... jeans and a tee shirt, jean shorts... that kind of thing... I wear flip flops all the time tho so I don%26#039;t know why you narrowed those out so quickly.. old navy is always the best for those... ballet flats are cute too

best of luck
Reply:ok. wear the adiadas if you want, i am kicking myself in the **** for not bringing my pair when i moved. AND THROW OUT THE BURKINSTOCKS! geez my freaking old uncles wear those! no one under the age of 56 should wear them, period. and think of the nasty tan lines on your poor, unsuspecting feet... not something fun. and i get the flip flop thing, i wasnt comfortable wearing them till i was about 15 or so. but if youre comfy with them, you should bring them too, if the adidas give you blisters. i wore sneakers to hershey and i was ready to die at the end of the day, i still have scars from the horrible blisters i got. and dont forget to go on tidal force and the olllddddd white woodie coaster, those are probably the best %26quot;classic%26quot; rides in the park. XD have fun kid.
Reply:Flip flops at an amusement park is *just fine*. I%26#039;m a guy, so I don%26#039;t wear them as often as most girls do, and I%26#039;ve taken to wearing them to amusement parks and have done so for a few years now. You have to leave them on the side on certain rides, but other than that, there is no issue at all. Just make sure it%26#039;s a comfortable pair with plenty of cushioning as you will be walking around a lot. Every time I%26#039;m there I see loads of both guys and girls doing the same.

The addidas style could actually be a lot less comfortable as you have to take more care to not lose them as you walk (compared to regular flip flops). (and they don%26#039;t look nearly as nice either)
Reply:if they give you blisters i wouldn%26#039;t cause sounds like your gonna be doing a lot of walking but if you know what to do where they won%26#039;t give you blisters i say go for it
Reply:i never knew there were adidas sandals..but yea if they are comfy and cute y not..
Reply:maybe there there out of syle were you live, but were i live evreybody wears them! i just bought these new ones at this sporting goods store and they have this gelly-stuff where youre feet go and its sooo comfy! You should get something like that, and it costs 25-35 depending on which style you choose. I hope this helps!

I see that wearing socks with your sandals is a big deal?

I DO wear socks with sandals. Here is why:

I%26#039;m a teacher, and on my feet all day long, so my feet do get hot (shoes don%26#039;t ventilate, sandals do).

Out of professional duty, I wear socks. If you are in high school, do you want to see your teacher%26#039;s nasty toes?

What is the big deal? My students always give me a hard time...but I don%26#039;t care, and neither should you. If something is practical, don%26#039;t you think you should use it? If something is impractical (pants around the ankles, high heels to heaven) don%26#039;t you think you should not use it? By the way, if socks with sandals is taboo, what is so glorious about wearing your pants so loose they hang around your ankles? I would rather see someones socks than their nasty plaid boxers.

I see that wearing socks with your sandals is a big deal?
don%26#039;t worry, i do wear too sometimes, people think it%26#039;s weird...but if u feel comfortable with it, just wear the socks! don%26#039;t bother wht other ppl said...
Reply:Hey thanks, Report It

Reply:your invereted head will tell!!!
Reply:Out of professional duty you SHOULD NOT wear sandals to work. You contradict yourself when you say that you don%26#039;t care. You do care because that is the reason why you wear socks in the first place. You are a professional and a role model for those students. Be practical at home.
Reply:well who cares what your students says just do the damn thing and i promise when they are 30 they will remember you
Reply:wear em!!!!!!!

but you sure birkenstocks couldnt help, because i feel like that could....
Reply:haha. i like you, your funny. but socks with sandals? im sorry, but NERDY!!!! no big deal though, your reasons make sense and you have great arguments (btw, i agree with you on the boxer thing. the other day, i saw a guy who literally had his pants down the middle of his thighs nd his boxers were pulled past his navel and he was wearing a cropped white t-shirt. i know. gross.) but just buy shoes. they have some these days that do ventilate your feet, i would try nike, they have like mesh-topped running shoes. and also, the socks/sandal look makes you lose some respect w/ your students, just talk to a salesperson at nordstrom, they%26#039;ll help find alternatives.
Reply:i don%26#039;t know, who cares, wear your socks man!

Is there any use for these beautiful sandals I messed up?

I purchased these beautiful pair of sandals but then I realized the heels were too high for my comfort and I thought instead of returning I could just have a shoe alteration shop shorten them. They shortened the heels a little, and now I cannot even walk in these sandals without toppling over! It%26#039;s very unstable. Is there any way I can still use these gorgeous sandals or are they gone for good and need to go in the trash? :(

Is there any use for these beautiful sandals I messed up?
probably they are a gonner. i know i would be mad, but in the first place i would have returned them. sorry!!!
Reply:If they did a bad job on the alteration, I would go back to the shop and ask them to try again or for your money back at least.
Reply:You should of returned them Now they are gone you cant really se them unless you get them to take out the heel and just use them as flights

Best place to stay - Sandals-Montego Bay or Sandals- Ochos Rios?

I heard that the drive from the airport to Sandals Ochos Rios is a long trip but I believe they have golfing onsite. Planning a honeymoon and my fiance would LOVE to golf. Any suggestions?

Best place to stay - Sandals-Montego Bay or Sandals- Ochos Rios?
True Ocho Rios has golfing BUT Mo%26#039; Bay is the flagship for Sandals and if you like the party scene or a livelier crowd then Mo%26#039; Bay is the Sandals to visit. Also, you get privleges at ALL sandals and Beaches resort while staying at ANY resort. The onlt stipulation is that you have to be back at your sponsoring resort at night. Check into the time from Samdals Mo%26#039; Bay to Sandals Ocho Rios and see if it wouldn%26#039;t be worth it to just go golf a couple of times but stay at mo%26#039;Bay. There is sooo much to do, golf may be the least of your desires once you see what there is to do. We snorkeled, scuba dived, wind-sailed and went on 2 off site excursions.
Reply:choose sandals-montego bay which is closer to the airport to avoid a long ride to the hotel. The good thing about staying with sandals is that you can go to any of the sandals in Jamaica and take part in their activities and eat at no addtional charge if you have an all inclusive which I highly encourage...it is definitely worth it
Reply:SANDALS MONTEGO BAY
Reply:We went to Sandals Royal in Montego Bay; MUCH more beautiful and less crowded than Sandals Montego Bay. I%26#039;m sure you can find golfing, but I think this is the best Sandals on the island!!
Reply:Mo bay will keep you closer ..but at some time ..may I suggest that you do take the long drive and see first hand the Island as it is ...raw .. beautiful....amazing!

Reply:The word for sandal is not Grecian but does relate to pre-Hellenic times. Scientists estimate people first wore animal skins during the Ice Age (5000,000 years ago). Rough shoes protected the feet of Stone Age people from rock and thorns. The first suggestion of foot coverings appeared in rock paintings from the late Paleolithic period (15,000 years ago). Spanish cave paintings show humans with animal skins around their feet. A major disadvantage was animal skins decayed and rotted away in a very short time. Sandals were believed to be the first crafted foot coverings and successors to primitive wrappings. The designs were both simple and practical. Straps or thongs attached the stiff sole to the foot for protection. Two basic designs prevailed one involved thongs fitted between the toes and the other more sophisticated had loops and holes along the edge of the soles for attaching thongs to the foot (Broby-Johansen, 1968). Soles were made from almost anything that was available including leaves and wood. In Ancient Egypt sandals were made from papyrus and palm leaves; rawhide was used by the Masai in Africa. Wooden sandals were made in India and rice straw was used in China and Japan. The leaves of the sisal plant provided twine for sandals in South America whereas the indigenous populations of Mexico used the yucca plant. The oldest surviving examples of papyrus sandals are exhibited in the British Museum and dated at 1,500 BC. The thong or toe strap became distinctive in sandal design. Subsequent civilisations preferred different toes, the Greeks for example made use of the great toe; the Romans, the second digit; and the Mesapotanians, the third toe. These distinctive, physical entities were also recognised and captured in Egyptian statues, and this was thought to represent celebration of other cultures. Sandals remain popular today yet their design has changed little from antiquity.

How can you wear sandals in the desert when the sand is that hot?

I read that people wear sandals in the desert because it keeps your feet cool. But I read that the sand in deserts is more than 150 degrees. If that%26#039;s the case, how can you wear sandals when the sand is that hot? Your feet would fry.

How can you wear sandals in the desert when the sand is that hot?
The sandals protect the lower part of your feet from the heat of the sand. This is the area where there is direct contact and it surely needs a barrier for protection. The uper parts of the feet are indeed exposed to heat not as much as the face, hands etc but if you wear regular choose, your feet are gonna be too sweaty to walk.

You still feel the heat, but it is the best alternative.
Reply:It%26#039;s better than being barefooted.........( hic )
Reply:You walk over the sand not in it.

Sandals are excellent for air circulation

Why do muslims wear sandals all the time?

Why do Muslims wear sandals all the time? Some people would say that it%26#039;s because of the hot climate, but here in America I see Muslims wear sandals. Is it religious or something?

Why do muslims wear sandals all the time?
It is because of the climate i suppose it is part of there lifestyle wearing sandals becus it has all they have done, and probaby becus when they go in mosques or sit down for lunch they have to take their shows off so there is no point in wearing fussy shoes which you can to fumble about with
Reply:its a traditional thing! that prophet muhammed(pbuh) used to do i think so! but here in my country no they dont wear sandals all the time ! they wear normal!
Reply:In actual fact %26quot;Muslims%26quot; don%26#039;t wear sandals all the time it is actually very common in Southeast Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.) for people to wear sandals because of the extreme heat it is more cultural than religious and a lot of people who dress the way they do over there wear the same footwear so those people you see like that are probably Muslim but they wear sandals because it is very common back home

90% of the time it is cultural some people may wear it because the prophet Muhammad wore it but mostly it is because they are very used to it
Reply:Muslims dont wear sandals all the time, and its not religious.

Guys do you prefer sandals either open toe or closed or slip ons and why?

I am wondering what type of comfort shoe to get. I see open toes sandals as allowing air to come in but I would think you would encounter painful stubbing of the toes all the time. So is closed toe sandals better? How about slippers or slip on shoes?

Guys do you prefer sandals either open toe or closed or slip ons and why?
well, it is up to you. if you feel comfy wearing closed than sandals thtat is fine. some people like showing off their feet so they wear slip ons and flip flops. It all dpends on how cofertable you are and if you can walk in eithr one better than the other.

When shopping for sport sandals in the women section, should I look for sizes under men or women?

I like to shop online and I noticed when I try to buy women sport sandals, they (Amazon.com) only display what seems to imply men%26#039;s size.

For instance, I am size 11 (women) should I buy the women sandals at %26#039;10 M%26#039; or %26#039;11 M%26#039;? I read somewhere the M refers to %26#039;medium%26#039; of the narrowness of the shoe. I am not sure if the M might refer to %26#039;Men%26#039;.

Thanks!

When shopping for sport sandals in the women section, should I look for sizes under men or women?
M refers to medium. I don%26#039;t believe it is mens. Why would it be in the womens sections?

AA = Narrow

M= Medium

W= Wide.

Or so I think (I%26#039;m a size 3 by US Standards, I%26#039;ve got my own shoe problems, lol).

Victoria's Secret Shoes / Sandals - What to do about "Whole Sizes Only" (Half size Up or Down?)?

I found these wedge sandals at VS that I like except they only come in whole sizes %26amp; I normally wear size 6.5.

In past situations like this, I would usually pick size 6 since they were only a bit small but still fit pretty well %26amp; looked good. Size 7s tended to look too big when I tried them on %26amp; sometimes were loose. The difference here though is that I%26#039;ve never bought shoes from VS %26amp; I%26#039;m not able to try them on before I buy them. Also, I don%26#039;t have much experience with buying %26amp; wearing high-heeled sandals: I heard that the bigger the size, the higher the heel but I don%26#039;t know whether this is true or if it even has an effect on the comfort level of walking.

So to sum it all up:

Size 6 PRO= Looks Better; Possibly shorter heel

CON= Narrow Base; Will be even tighter if my feet get bigger w/ age lol

Size 7 PRO= Future/LongTerm Use; Wider Base

CON= I%26#039;m short so bigger shoes make me look like I have clown feet; Heel maybe taller %26amp; thus harder to walk; If too loose toes slide out

Victoria%26#039;s Secret Shoes / Sandals - What to do about %26quot;Whole Sizes Only%26quot; (Half size Up or Down?)?
remember the return policy for Victoria%26#039;s Secret if you don%26#039;t like your shoes --

90 days or less for return , you get your credit back .

90 days or more, is store credit, where you can spend online.

the only thing is you%26#039;ll have to pay shipping %26amp; handling to send them back .

if you are an adult, i%26#039;d suggest buying the size 6 . but if you%26#039;re a teen, buy the 7%26#039;s because you are still growing .

i%26#039;d suggest going to the mall to Victoria%26#039;s Secret to try them on yourselves . this way, you don%26#039;t have to wait all those extra days to wait for them to be delivered, the return won%26#039;t cost extra if you don%26#039;t like them, %26amp; you%26#039;ll know which shoes would be best for you .
Reply:I would go either way on those, I tend to go a 1/2 size smaller most of the time, but sometimes thats too snug so I go a 1/2 size up. Sometimes that means the shoes fall off my feet.

My advice to you is to check their return policy and exchange them if they don%26#039;t work. If they have a good return policy, order both sizes and return one of them.

Couples san souci or sandals dunns river?

trying to decide cause couples has a sweet special on ealry winter booking:

Couples san souci with a beachfront jaccuzi room

both resorts run the same price, but with sandals i get two resorts for the price of one , but with the couples resort i get an intimate resort, mid 20%26#039;s couple not big nightclubbers and going for 5 nights.

Couples san souci or sandals dunns river?
Sandals has much more lively things and better food and all. Couples is a very relaxed environment, though. Choose between total relaxation and liveliness.
Reply:I%26#039;d suggest Couples Swept Away in Negril.. I%26#039;ve heard the crowd at Dunns River is mostly older.. Never been there though, so I%26#039;m just going on what I%26#039;ve heard other people say. The Couples Swept Away is supposed to be the nicest of the Couples Resorts and our travel agent suggested that resort to us if we were going to stay at Couples. Anyone know of a Sandals like, adults only, all-inclusive resort in Mexico? Websites would be great.?

My husband and I were married at the Sandals Grande St Lucian in 2005 and loved it. We are ready to indulge in another all inclusive vacation, but want to stay a little closer to home to cut down on travel time. Looking for beachfront, adults only is a MUST, all inclusive with good drinks....what can I say, we want it all. Sandals really delivered, but I have had hard time finding a similar product in Mexico. Would appreciate any feedbeack.

Anyone know of a Sandals like, adults only, all-inclusive resort in Mexico? Websites would be great.?
Cancun and Riviera Maya have many adult only, all-inclusive resorts.

I really like the Palace resorts. They provide good service and decent food and drinks and much cheaper than a Sandals.
