Are Gouchos and sandals dressy?

I have to dress up for school on monday. I was wondering would black gouchos, a nice shirt, and white sandals be consiserd dressy or not?

Are Gouchos and sandals dressy?
No gouchos should always be paired with boots or pumps gouchos and sandals are okay if you arein africa doing reliefe work for the peace corps. Heres what you should wear.

* Short sleeve white tee very tight

* Vest over the shirt

* Gouchos

* Pumps

* Oversized Sunglasses

That is right out of vogue you can't go wrong! :)
Reply:yeah i would say that's dressy!
Reply:I'm not so sure about white sandals (hopefully NOT flip flops!) with black gauchos - do you have any black or dark sandals or maybe even ballet flats? Otherwise it sounds like a nice classy "dress up for school" combination.
Reply:actually white shoes should not be worn until after Easter; but i'm from the old school. anything goes in this day and time. this sounds like a nice combo. add some fashionable jewelry--bangle, earrings, necklace and perhaps a cute belt.

Go for it!
Reply:i would think so
Reply:You should wear gauchos and boots.
Reply:i don't really think so , alot of people think gouchos aren't dressy at all i would stick to some dress pants and a nice shirt and heels or pretty flats
Reply:well it depends what u are going too; like my band concert i can totaly get away with gouchos and sandles same with a casual sortof dressy party. but if your going to a prom then no way! soo yes they are dressy for most occashions but not all.
Reply:i personally am not a huge fan of gouchos. however, a lot depends on the fabric- cotton=not dressy, poly-cotton blend- more dressy and so on. also are they goucho capri length or full length pants? full length is probably a little more dressy. and what kind of sandals? flip flops, sadly, are not considered dressy by most. i would just suck it up, wear a knee length skirt and then high heeled strappy sandals or just plain heels.
